Chewy ANZAC Biscuits
  1. Preheat oven to 320°

  2. Place butter, golden syrup & salt in small saucepan & cook over low heat stirring occasionally

  3. Sift flour into a large bowl & add oats, coconut, sugar & brown sugar & stir well

  4. Mix melted butter mixture into flour & stir until well combined

  5. Roll firmly packed tablespoons of mix into balls & place on lined baking pan

  6. Place 5cm apart on tray & slightly flatten with a fork or your fingers

  7. Bake 15-16 minutes (until golden but still soft)

  8. Cool on tray for 3 min before moving to cooling rack
