Preheat oven to 350°F
Slice the rolls in half lengthwise, keeping tops and bottoms connected
Stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, 8 tablespoons butter and ⅛ teaspoon salt in a small bowl until well combined and set aside
Spread bottom half of buns with ¾ of the butter mixture and place top halves on top
Place rolls in a lightly greased 9 x 13 baking dish and spread remaining butter mixture on top
Bake for 20 minutes
Let stand 5 minutes before topping
Using a hand mixer, mix remaining 2 tablespoons of butter with cream cheese, remaining salt, vanilla and powdered sugar until smooth
Spread icing over warm rolls
