Onion Rings Recipe
  1. Cut up your red onions into rings, around 1 cm in diameter and separate them.

  2. In a bowl, add your milk, egg, salt and whip together.

  3. Soak your onion rings in the mix for around 1 - 2 hours.

  4. In 3 separate bowls, add your bread crumbs and red chili powder in one, whipped eggs in one and your cake flour and corn starch in the last bowl.

  5. Coat your onion rings: take them out from the milk mix, coat them in the flour/corn starch mix, dip them in the eggs, then in the breadcrumbs, back in the egg and finally breadcrumbs last.

  6. Place in the fridge for another 1 - 2 hours.

  7. Heat up around 1 - 2 cups of oil, when it starts to bubble a bit place all your onion rings inside and leave to fry.

  8. After 1 - 2 minutes turn them onto the other side.

  9. When golden, strain so there's no excess oil and serve with your meal or a dipping sauce.
