Prepping the heavy whipping cream would be a lot better with an electric mixer rather than a hand whisk. But otherwise, the recipe turned out great! (It looks like a mess because tiny children helped with the piping and graham crackers, but it tastes great regardless.)
This dough recipe is great! Just make sure the temperature is warm enough for it to rise if not doing overnight rising in the fridge. Making a heat box in the oven with a pot of boiling water next to the bowl of dough works well.
Didn't have any thick bread, so used regular Sara Lee. The sugar on the sides facing up caramelized, so they had crystalized formations on them that I wasn't expecting. I thought it was a flop at first, but after trying them I discovered they still tasted really good and the caramelization added a little bit of a crunch.
