I first tried this Yard House Tomato Bisque on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I was immediately captivated by its comforting aroma. The sautéed mirepoix onions, carrots, and celery creates a depth of flavor that transforms the humble tomato into a luxurious, savory base.
i included the optional sugar, but otherwise basically followed the directions. the first time i make anything, i tend to stick to the recipe pretty strictly, to get a baseline, and understand the creator's intent. in a future take on this, i'm curious to see what dropping the extra sugar and adding fresh pineapple or something similar would be like, along with perhaps some water chestnuts. but, we enjoyed this quite a lot.
