Store the chia oatmeal pudding base in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5–6 days. Keep the yogurt and toppings separate until ready to serve. This dish is best enjoyed cold, but if you prefer it warm, gently heat the base (without yogurt) on the stovetop or microwave, then mix with yogurt and toppings.
Directions: Cut flank steak into thin strips and set aside in medium bowl. Mince garlic and ginger. Place half of each in the bowl with the steak to marinate and save the other half for cooking later. Next add the baking soda and cornstarch to the meat to help tenderize it and keep it moist. Add in the oil, soy, and oyster sauce and give the meat a good mix. Set the meat bowl aside to marinate. Chop & wash the broccoli (and other preferred veggies). This is also a good time to start cooking your rice if you plan on serving any. Sauce: To another small-medium bowl, add soy, oyster sauce, and dark soy sauce (for color). Then add sesame oil, brown sugar, and white pepper. Taste to your seasoning preference. Rest of directions for cooking are in the photo.
As far as flavours go, this one strikes that simple balance. The real question. Is it really worth all the effort. My answer is yes. But you have to realize that my favourite place is the kitchen. This was a fun couple hours for me.
very hearty, with whole wheat flour, flax, chia seeds, and quick oats. it uses milk (i went with whole milk, here), but can be made with non-dairy milk instead, which makes it vegan. it's lightly sweet on its own, with some maple syrup mixed in, but the optional ingredients can tilt it towards fruity, or chocolatey, as you please. i enjoyed two slices about an inch thick each with just some softened butter over the top. can also be dressed like pancakes or waffles, with some maple syrup or honey.
