These were great! Definitely a step up from the shortening biscuit recipe on the baking powder tin. I grated cold butter first and let it sit in the freezer a few minutes while I whisked together the dry ingredients. They turned out a little lopsided, but maybe I worked them too much? Still so tasty. Definitely a keeper recipe.
Used 3 bananas, only used one egg, used 1/4 cup maple syrup and 4 dates for sweetener, added 1/4 cup cocoa powder and about 1/3 cup chocolate chips. Made 12 standard sized muffins and 14 mini muffins. Baked the minis for 11 min. Very tasty! I will make again according to the recipe. Haha!
