A very basic, easy to dress-up bread. Make sure you have a large Dutch oven, 6 quarts or more, and a big enough piece of parchment paper to transfer. This dough is thin, so it spreads a lot on the parchment during the second rise.
These came out flatter than I expected, make sure your cookies are 2+ inches apart when baking. I thought the peppermint flavor was a bit light, so I might add a bit more peppermint extract next time. I crushed candy canes and dusted the cookies with the pink dust for some extra flavor and intrigue.
These muffins are phenomenal, a crowd favorite for sure! One bag of cranberries makes two batches, so have a plan for half a bag of cranberries or double the recipe
These were good but not exceptional, I’ll want to mess with seasonings to add some interest (I’m thinking cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe cloves, or using lemon sugar and topping with a lemon glaze instead of the streusel). Might dust the blueberries in flour to prevent sinking. This needs to bake for max time in my oven, maybe even a minute or two extra.
