So good, I substitute blue cheese crumbles for the cheddar cheese and add about half a teaspoon of xanthan powder to a tablespoon of olive oil and melted butter to make a slurry which I add just before I add the cream to make it thicker.
Did this with ground beef instead of ground chicken, to which I added about 200g finely chopped mushrooms and a little bit of chopped yellow onion. I opted to serve it over rice instead of tacos. It’s so yummy! Because of my peanut allergy, I also subbed sunflower butter for peanut butter in the sauce. Will be making this again!! Makes 4 servings.
I didn't need to leave it to rise as long as it said. I put a pan of boiling water in the bottom of the oven when baking, and it seems to have over risen. Serious collapse on cooling. Notes on taste to come, but it smells great.
