Made this for the last night of Ostara, it was wonderful! I'm trying to try out more mushrooms and see if I can like them, and this was the best I've had so far! Could use a little more salt as it's currently written, and maybe cook the mushrooms a little bit longer (if you dont like the texture, if you don't mind the texture then you're fine!). Goes great with any good bread roll :) Maybe a bit more meat than written as well.
Made my first chicken stock! Been wanting to do this forever, since the life of a meat-eating broke art school student often has a lot of rotisserie chickens. Turned out great! The taste is a bit forward with the celery and carrots, but it's not bad! I also had HUGE carrots so maybe it was just a little bit off in expected ratio. Still gonna be super good in something soon. I kept it on the heat around 20-40 minutes longer than it suggested and I end up with exactly a pint! Also the OG recipe called for whole pepper corns but I didn't realize we were out, so I went for the ground pepper, seemed to work fine :)
