Looks great. Mine always looks more brownish than the internet's. I use organic sugar, so ally simple syrup has that brownish tone. Tastes great though, so not complaining.
Was tasty. Need to lower temp and reduce cooking time. Wasn't too sweet. Would like to skin peaches next time. Personal preference. Will change recipe to reflect this.
This one was a bone in the shoulder, so a little different. Not as much seasoning distribution ☹️. It's a windy day, so the smoke didn't settle on the shoulder as much. Missed that smokey flavor. Really need to build my own smoker.
Made a pint, so with all that is involved, I will be double or tripling it next time. 1st time, so will see if adjustments need to be made.
So adjustments necessary, later this month... I would dial back the brown sugar as it competes with the mustard/vinegar and overpowers the Bourbon. You lose the Bourbon except for a small tatesing note in front. Still very tasty despite the sweetness. May try upping the vinegar and lowering the water too.
