Used 5-min quick grits. That is a 4:1 ratio of liquid to grit (used 2 cups broth and 2 cups milk with 1 cup of the grits). Cook the same way but just a little less time.
I added the juice of two small limes and actually used a bit more water when putting the raseberries through the food processer (used the smoothie attachement). I then put all the ingredients into a sauce pan to simmer and reduce in volume. I let the mix cool and then in the fridge for a few hours before adding to the ice cream machine. Loved the noticeable increase in lime and raspberry flavor.
