Everything was going well at hour 1 (250 degrees) but I was tired and it was late so I bumped the temp to 350 for the 2nd hour. The author had mentioned this in her recipe to “speed things up” but LOL nope my batch and toaster oven were probably too small for 350 to be reasonable. Whoops, charred beyond recognition tomatoes. Luckily it wasn’t a lot of tomatoes and they were on the end of their usability anyway (which probably made them easier to char too). Will try again but not at 350 haha
Had a bunch of older garlic bulbs and did this in my instant pot on slow cook, came out nicely. I have 2 small jars of garlic and olive oil and one jar of garlic infused oil (no garlic pieces) for cooking with. Very happy with how simple this was to do
